The short version: every recipe is written out for a home kitchen, with amounts, oven times and safe temperatures.
The videos and pictures
The pictures on each recipe page come from the same Lazy Plate video, so they show the dish the way the video does. Yours may brown a little differently, and that’s fine. Elena, the host of every video, has her own page.
The recipes
Each recipe is written to work in a home kitchen: amounts in US units, with metric on a switch; oven temperatures in °F and °C; cooking times; and the USDA safe internal temperature for meat, chicken and egg dishes (160°F for ground beef and egg bakes, 165°F for chicken and reheated leftovers).
Nutrition is an estimate per serving, calculated from USDA FoodData Central values for the ingredients as written, and dated. When a recipe has also been checked against a standard method and safe temperatures, its recipe card says so, with the date.
What we don’t do
- We don’t invent reviews, star ratings or reader photos.
- We don’t make health claims. Low-carb means the recipe is built on low-carb ingredients. If you count carbs for a medical reason, check your labels and ask your doctor.
- We don’t put a life story above the recipe. The Jump to recipe button is always at the top.

Lazy Plate has no ads yet. If we add ads or shop links later, this page will say so, and links that earn us money will be labelled.
